Long day at work? Finally home now, but you’re all tired?… Cheer up with a new sandwich creation! I thought my evening was shot tonight, but I’ve been rejuvinated by this tasty new recipe. I put onions in it to wake me up a little and I think it worked! Now I will brush my teeth and hit the town

Commitment
April 10, 2008
My dad gave me some grade ‘A’ pork to make shnitzel and it tied me down to some cookin’ commitment. Last night I had to fire up the stove for a 10pm fry-sesh while the pork was still prime. It was worth it, the late-night cook off yeilded a pretty alright batch of shnitz. Then again, is there such thing as a bad batch? NO there isn’t. This has probably been my favourite sammy since I started eating solid food. Maybe you’re a total wookie and you like cheese and mushroom sauce on your shnitzel, but not on my blog. This is Horvath tradition right here.
Ingredients: Homemade shnitzel, Lettuce, Mayo and Pepper on a bun.

Thanks Dad!

This is the result of an empty fridge. I bought the bun last night but I didn’t consider what I would put in it. Great outside, but it’s what’s inside that counts man. This sammy was ok but definitly no hidden treasure.
Ingredients: Chive and Onion cream cheese and Banana Peppers on a Poppy Seed Bun.

Dinner Sam

Mmmm why didn’t I think of making and blogging this sooner? What a great meal to cook for friends…or family. I got pretty creative with the bun spread. I nailed it really, so good. Also served up some ceasar salad with homemade dressing, garrrrrlic. Yum.
Ingredients: Roast Beef (only the best from Market Meats on 4th), homemade ’spread’ (see below) and melted sharp white cheddar (Balderson’s!!) on a toasted bun. Served with ‘au jus’ for dipping.
Spread: Dijon mustard, Keen’s hot mustard, Horseradish, Garlic, S&P.
Day 2: Re-heat and add cambozola cheese to the sammy for the next-day-leftover-lunch. TO DIE FOR!

Do you think this sandwich is weird?
I eat melted cheese toast with hot sauce all the time, I figured it would be ok as a sammy. It was ok.
Ingredients:Cheddar Cheese, Frank’s Hot Sauce, Mayo on toasted Multigrain.
