International Flavour

August 29, 2006

Maybe I’m a little bias, but Hungarian salami has always been my salami of choice. Having had this favourite flavour, I haven’t actually tried a lot of different salamis. This time around I went for a new one, Mexican salami. It was similar, but different. It was more red in colour and dry, as opposed to Hungarian salami which is a little more oily. It sort of reminded me of a salami that would be used on pizza, for some reason.

It’s also Hungarian Pepper season right now so I took advantage of that. It is the light-yellow variety and much more mild, and sweeter than any of the other colours.

Ingredients: Mexican Salami, Cheddar Cheese, Hungarian Yellow Pepper and Hot Mustard on a whole wheat bun.
