Sushi Sammy

June 20, 2006

Today’s sandwich was inspired by one of my favorite sushi roll ingredients. Pea shoots. They are a nice substitution from your average alfalfa sprout and are commonly used in veggie rolls. I haven’t tried this in a sandwich before so we will see how it turns out….

….okay, I just ate the sandwich and it was good, but a mild flavour. I’ll describe it as ‘crisp’. I will definitely try to use this ingredient in future sandwich combinations.

Ingredients: Cheddar cheese, Pea shoots, Cucumber, Avocado, Mayo, Hot Mustard, S&P on toasted multigrain bread.

sergeant sandwich says shoot peas out of your nose not your sandwich. p.s. 23 words: splitz grill chicken wrap with honey mustard, mayo, salt and pepper, tomato, lettuce, hot peppers, cucumber, pickle (optional) and … french fries. that’S Nice.

also, i once met sushi sammy in an alley. we had both stumbled there out of the back door of an irish pub after guzzling a few beers and scarfing down multiple sandwich’s. unzipping we both silently nodded at each other in mutual understanding. it was on. the gold showered down on the stank concrete of the alley. our concentration deepened. the showers became golden streams, and then powerful geysers. at first inching forward, but quickly hitting the first meter mark and launching further.
    final: sushi sammy 6ft
    sergeant sandwich 7ft 2in
sergeant sandwich wins another pee shoot.
